DRESSES AND CENTURIES Some people wonder whether our russian fashion exists or not. Yes, it is. The great exhibition of clothes from the end of 19th cetury to 2014 is opened in GUM. These pieces were collected by Alexandre Vassiliev (russian costume and set designer for ballet, opera and the theatre). It is so exсiting to see this beauty and if you guys have a chance to go, I suggest you do it. If not, I took some photos for you.

By the way, as far as I am concerned, it is riveting to look at old clothes since you will easily find out they have a strong connection to the modern fashion world. Some trends like velvet dresses, flower prints, pastel colours.. probably you saw them in last Louis Vuitton and Prada collections, right?
If you start to look closely, you will realize fashion develops like spiral with the same trends appearing with different "sauce".
